Call for Papers   

2021 CHINA MEETING OF THE ECONOMETRIC SOCIETY

School of Entrepreneurship and Management, ShanghaiTech University

Dates: July 1^st- 3^rd, 2021 (Thursday–Saturday)

The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. The main activities of the Society are:

- Publication of the journals Econometrica, Quantitative Economics, and Theoretical Economics.

- Publication of a research Monograph Series.

- Organization of scientific meetings in six regions of the world.

The 2021 China Meeting of Econometric Society (CMES 2021) will be hosted by the School of Entrepreneurship and Management, ShanghaiTech University (http://sem.shanghaitech.edu.cn/sem_en) on July 1^st - 3^rd, 2021.

The conference program will consist of keynote lectures,  invited talks, special panel discussions that include both academic and non-academic speakers, invited and contributed paper sessions, and space for poster sessions. Each session would be 1.5 hours long with 3 papers each.

Paper Submission:

Interested authors are encouraged to submit unpublished working papers or early draft (more than 10 pages with results) to http://editorialexpress.com/conference/CMES2021. For co-authored work, please specify who will be the presenting author. Submissions will be evaluated by program committee for acceptance into the conference program.

Important Notes for Paper Authors

At least one (co-)author must be a member of the Econometric Society or must join membership before submission.

Important Dates

Paper Submission Period: September 14, 2020 – March 1st, 2021

Decision Notification: by April 15th, 2021

Preliminary Program Announcement: May 15th, 2021

Registration Period: April 15th, 2021 – June 15th, 2021

**Early Bird Registration Period: April 15th, 2021 – May 20th, 2021

Complete papers due to discussants: June 15th, 2021.

Conference Venue

Due to uncertainties of the Covid-19 Pandemic situation, the CMES 2021 will be held vitually via an online platform on July 1 - 3, 2021, Beijing time (UTC+8). Instruction on conference registration will be provided in mid-April.
