Program Goals:
1)To cultivate inter-disciplinary talents with basic financial knowledge and skills
2)To build a solid foundation of financial know-how for graduate study or a career in finance
3)To make appropriate personal financial decisions
The Learning Outcomes:
To grasp basic financial concepts, theories, and skills:
1) To understand the concepts and theories related to finance and financial systems, financial accounting, the monetary value of time and resource allocation, valuation models, derivatives, risk management, portfolio allocation, asset pricing, corporate finance, and etc.
2) To develop the basic skills on security valuation, risk identification and management, risk-based asset allocation, financial analysis, and financial data analysis.
3) To know the practices of the financial industry and its latest developments, and to learn how to apply the textbook knowledge in real-world situations.
