Profile

Xiaoyu Zhou is a tenured associate professor and the assistant dean at the School of Entrepreneurship and Management, ShanghaiTech University. He earned his Ph.D. in business administration from Peking University in 2014 and a Bachelor’s degree in management from Sun Yat-sen University in 2009.


He is a member of the Editorial Review Boards of Journal of International Business Studies and Journal of Business Research, and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for numerous leading journals in management.


Research Interests

Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on organizational responses to social, technological, and scientific disruptions, with particular emphasis on ESG-related practices, employee productivity, large-scale scientific infrastructure, and the interaction between firms and their institutional environments.


His work has been published in leading academic journals, such as Science, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, etc.
